You were currently in your small, yet beautiful Italian styled apartment, looking for something to wear. Your best friend Romano had called you unexpectedly today, asking if you could both go out today. Well, it was more like a command rather than a request, but you most certainly weren't complaining. The fact that you weren't sure if he meant going out as a date or just friends. He has been dropping a few hints that he was attracted to you, but you always being on the safe side, brushed it away.

You finally decided on wearing a pretty plum colored blouse that has white floral designs, some simple white pants, and (shoes of your choice). You weren't really much for make-up, so you decided on just a little bit of eyeliner, and some mascara. Your pretty (length) (color) hair was in fine shape, but you brushed it out just to make sure. You were looking absolutely beautiful, and ready for going out with Romano. The sun was just about setting, and you heard gentle knocks from the front door. You rushed to the door, seeing Romano dressed in a fine, loose black dress shirt and some tan pants. He held out a beautiful bouquet of roses causing a wide smile to spread across your face. You didn't notice the blush on his face as you received the bouquet and replaced old flowers in a vase with them. "I love them!" You said hugging him, and he averted his gaze with a blush.

Maybe he did mean this as a date! You thought excitedly.

"Whatever, they were on sale..." Romano muttered, clearly trying to keep himself from just squeezing you tight, but you didn't know that.

Maybe not a date. You thought feeling a little disappointing hearing his discouraging words.

The two of you exited your apartment, then you realized you had no idea what he had in mind for today. "So, where are we going?" You asked him. He pulled two tickets from his pocket. "A friend of mine gave me these movie tickets..." He said showing you the tickets. "What movie are we going to see?" You asked excitedly as you both continued walking to the movie theater that wasn't too far from home. To your surprise he blushed slightly at your question. " C-Casomai" He said in a half whisper seemingly embarrassed. You've heard of this movie, and knew you were going to like it based on what everyone had been telling you about it. Your (color) eyes brightened and you happily pulled him into a sweet embrace causing him to blush. You did this often, and you never quite got a just right reaction.

You both made it into the roomy movie theater and were now at your seats. The movie 'Casomai' was finally starting. Hm, it seems to be about A couple repeating their vows deals with the up and downsides of marriage through flash-forwards. Soon, the flashes involve the entire audience, and the couple must deal with the fact that their marriage is important to more people than just themselves. By depicting the correlation between the joy and pain of marriage. It was a truly sappy movie, and didn't suit you at all... But you were somehow attracted to it. Maybe it was how the couple reminded you of your dream couple. It reminded you of how you'd like to be treated; respected, and loved even through difficult times. Romano doesn't seem to be really into the movie, but you didn't notice, you were too interested in the movie. The Italian looked over to you from the corner of his eyes, then his gaze drifted down to your hand where he gently placed his over yours. You finally were brought back to reality at the sudden warmth he provided your hand.

He never does this! Eh...! I think this really is a date... I don't know, I don't want to assume things and ruin it! you thought nervously while fidgeting slightly in your seat.

Romano noticed your nervousness, he mistook it for discomfort and felt truly discouraged by your actions. He pouted and pulled his hand away, acting as if it was nothing, but the slightly annoyed expression gave away that he was upset with your reaction.

Did I upset him? Now you felt as if you made things awkward... Being around him made you feel so anxious, you never knew how to act around him.

The movie came to an end, and you and Romano were outside the movie theater. Ever since he had tried holding your hand in the theater, he sported that sort of distressed expression, but it seemed to have lightened. Surprising you, he grabbed your hand and began picking up speed. "I want to show you something special." He simply said, quickly leading you through the beautiful streets of Rome. You recognized this area as the famous 'castel sant'angelo . It looked absolutely beautiful, especially with how the night lamps were lit and how the sun was setting over the horizon, reflecting upon the water giving it an orange-like hue.

His pace slowed as you both neared one of the stone bridges that connected over the water. By then you were both at the edge of the bridge, leaning on the stone-like railing that blocked you both from slipping into the water that was not far below. Romano once again caught you by surprise, when he leaned closer to you.

"Hey, Romano what makes this place so special to you?" You asked recalling what he said before he brought you to Castel Sant'Angelo. A rare smile graced his lips as he brought his hand out to yours. "Grandpa Rome always brought his girlfriends here... He said this place was reserved for only the special one's that made him feel... love." He said softly gazing into your (color) eyes.
"That sounds... really sweet of you for taking me here, Romano." You said smiling nervously. And he got closer, gently resting his hand on your cheek.

Why is he acting like this? He said he just wanted to go out! He didn't say it was anything special... You thought frantically, and slightly tipped your head to the side showing you weren't very interested in his action, but of course the warmth that spread through your body said other wise. That sudden warmth that had flooded through your body faded when you heard Romano sigh, and you returned you gaze to him.
"Idiota! I ask you out on a date and you don't give me any attention!" He scowled, his face showing how upset and disappointed he was, despite his harsh tone.

THIS WAS A DATE?!

NOW you felt terrible! He never made it clear this was his intentions!

"R-Romano, you didn't say this was a date! I'm sorry, I didn't know!" You apologized, hating that crushed look on his face. Romano fell silent, with a sort of shocked exppression replacing his past saddened one. He let out another sigh, but surprised you when he chuckled. "You really are an idiota... You're just making me saying this harder than it has to be..." He said rubbing the back of his head, averting his gaze to the water. "S-saying what?" You asked. The way he spoke made those butterflies return, with that pleasant warmth that spread through your body. Then, he gently brought his hands to yours, and looked you in the eye.

"For me to say I love you..." He answered softly with a slight, and rare smile. He seemed to have enjoyed that light blush that spread on your cheeks and how his words made your eyes shine with shock. "D-Don't you feel the same way?" He asked feeling doubt by how shocked you looked. Oh, he looked so cute! And you didn't want him to worry any more than he had, and so you quickly made the move you've been dreaming of and brought your lips to his, but it certainly was just a small peck that left him wide-eyes, the same reaction you had from his confession. Then his warm gaze drifted back to yours and he connected both of your lips once more, this time it was long, and sweet.

You both pulled away, but still had your hands connected, as well as your passionate gazes and you laughed softly and heartedly, feeling utter joy.

"Of course I love you too."

GOD IT'S BEEN FOREVER... A few days actually.
This stupid Google Chrome is messing things up with DA and wouldn't let me upload! But thankfully I solved this problem by switching to Incognito mode. (_{_{_{sneaky much?}}})
